One of the toughest pieces of the designing the back end was deciding how the various banks were going to be featured as the lender. The front end of the site featured brochureware, but also served as a portal for the lenders to review applications pending on log in.

At the time, most small banks used traditional pieces of marketing material to reach their targeted audiences. Connext offered a variety of printed material to be displayed at branches.

One of the biggest challenges of selling the loan origination system to small banks was understanding the relationship between borrowers and their lending institutions. Initially ReliaMax had created binders full of material explaining laws and regulations that a bank would have to absorb. When I joined the team, I felt the easiest way to explain some of the concepts was through condensed versions of the same material, but explained in more of a storytelling fashion through infographics, animations, and graphically rich white papers and brochures.
