I really loved working on this project. I rarely get a chance to explore creating anything for kids. A product developer had reached out to me asking if I could help him create and name a product for a device to help monitor mobile devices for children. We both have kids that whose names begin with “Ry-” and this was somewhat of a protector like Robot in Lost in Space. The name Rybot seemed appropriate and we began design explorations for the logo. At first I compiled inspiration from robot iconography. Once the mood board was generated I created a series of mockup robots which were eventually finalized in Adobe Illustrator.
